My new apt, had my bed up against the window. So pillows would lodge back in the sill, needing more pillows. I needed a headboard for the fix. I purchased a Sauder bookcase headboard at Wal-Mart but was cheap, hard to put together and did not attach well to frame. Quite the contrary, this headboard is ALREADY put together. You just have to attach two 'legs' to the headboard and attach it to the frame with five bolts on each side.
The headboard, when attached (to my queen) meets the floor, so gives added support.
This is a no brainer. If you like the style, you can't go wrong. And, btw, the wood has a nice expensive finnish, Couldn't' be happier.

This headboard is nice to look at-but the quality is lousy, get what you pay for I guess. It's adequate for a guest room. To assemble is ok-but some of the pilot holes were never made-and the wood (if it's wood) splits as soon as you begin to drill screws in.

We ordered two of the country pine all wood headboards and are very pleased. The shipping was fast, and the headboards easy to attach to our bed frames, included the bolts, as well. It has a very solid feel....a good buy!
