I ordered these because the last set I bought for everyday couldn't be put in the microwave or dishwasher. They are pretty, but that is all. These arrived intact and they are very fine. They are versatile in every way, can even go into the oven. They set a casual or elegant table. I couldn't be happier. I also ordered two sets of cereal bowls and they are large, but nice and deep. I plan to use these for a long time.

I'm very pleased with these dishes. I spent months looking at patterns of dishes and finally decided on this set. Before I made the purchase I went to Macy's to hold and feel a plate to be assured that I made the right decision. The china is quite the bargain at 189. a set. I like that it's durable and lightweight, unlike the stoneware Noritake china I used to own, and oven and microwave proof. It's also elegant, but not too fancy for everyday use.

The color matches my dining table perfectly, a bit off white, a little more on the shade of whitish gray than a yellowish cream color.
