The thing that really sold me on this bike rack is its lightness. I have no trouble putting this on my vehicle. It's so easy that I take it off when I'm not hauling bikes.

Pros:
-Lightweight - Really!
-Has a built-in key lock to lock the rack to your hitch so the rack itself can't easily be stolen.
-Has a built-in key lock that locks your bikes to the rack.
-Has the very nice Thule anti-sway/cradle system that really does hold the bikes steady. No worries about the bikes banging together.
-Hitch folds down to allow access to your trunk. Very easy latch system.
-3 bikes fit easily.
-Aluminum is nice because it won't rust.
-No tools needed for installing or removing from hitch. Just twist a big plastic knob & it locks on. You'll know it's properly on when the knob can spin freely - dummy proof!
-Fits a 1.25" hitch receiver or a 2" receiver - Very convenient for me because I have a truck with a 2" and a car with a 1.25". A hitch adapter is included.

Con:
-No option to hold 4 bikes but there is a 2 bike model. Not a problem in my case. We bought it for 2 bikes & feel it's a bonus that we can haul a friend's bike too.

Ok, so let me start by saying I'm new to this. My first bike since I got my driver's license just slightly after television was invented and this is my first rack. BUT, I did my homework before buying and this thing works perfectly. It weighs a lot less that Thule hitch-mounted ones that are steel. A lot less. And it is far solid than the ones that attach to the car (I know, the hitch on the car cots extra). And, the idea of lifting the bikes onto some roof mount didn't appeal to me. If I was 25, I might have thought differently. It took no time to assemble, but figuring out the lock which locks the bicycles to the rack took a little bit of time (we used to use things called words in directions but now just hieroglyphics, so....). Anyway, there are two pieces to it (one out of the top of the hitch and one out the end of the racks the bikes sit on, for anybody else out there who may find it less than obvious). The bikes attach firmly and it take no time at all. The anti-sway devices are excellent, but I get lazy and don't use them a lot and it seems to work fine anyway. For longer trips and at higher speeds I'd use them, though. It tilts down to open the back of the SUV and the lock to lock it to the hitch seems brilliant to me. It's aluminum, so no rust or repainting to be concerned about. I have not noticed anything to improve so far. Fantastic product. I've seen a few people look at it while I'm loading and unloading with apparent greed, honestly.

Just bought a new Kia Soul and had my hitch receiver installed. I was anxious to get my Thule bike rack so we could go riding. I opened the box and looked everything over very closely. This rack is made with top notch parts. I'm glad it's not as light as it sounded like. It's not cheaply made at all. It's very solid and the rubber mounts look like they will last for a long time. Some of the best features are the stabilizer mounts, locking system so you can lock it to your hitch and built in cable for locking the bike frames. Very easy to put on the car and it tilts so you can throw any last minute items in your hatch if you have one. It also looks great. I've seen many, many bike racks and this is one of the best made I've ever seen out there period. I love it and would recommend it. It's well worth spending the extra money to get something worth every penny.
